1.Closer relationship with God. Today was a reread of Romans Chapter 11, then chapter 12. Paul tells us that a life of sacrifice involves our will , emotions and mind. We have to continually acknowledge that out hope is in God and not ourselves. I also wrote in my prayer journal. For those of you interested I included a video that explains why it is important to meditate in the Word.

Nice Things
I was thinking I can see how working on Goals can turn into a grind. For me, I really enjoy writing but I can see that it could start feeling like a chore. I decided to add something everyday that I just like to do, something that I enjoy. A hot mug of tea, sewing, reading fiction. Think about some of the things that you can do everyday for a few minutes that make you smile, something that gives you a few moments of happiness. Maybe calling someone or writing a letter. I recently got a pen pal that lives in North Dakota, it is fun to learn about someone new that lives in another region. There are so many ways you can treat yourself kinder and it does not have to involved or expensive. Steam your face, face mask, condition your hair. Or, if you are so inclined think of something you can do nice for someone else. The rewards of doing something for someone and not expecting a return can pay off in unexpected ways.
