I sat with this along time wondering if I should post it? It is pretty personal but we are all dealing with something so if it helps someone , great!

I guess I never imagined that working on goals would mean so much working on myself. Logically, I know that the ability to complete goals can have a lot to do with emotions. I found I have a pretty big spot of hidden rage and hidden emotions are a danger to your health and well being. How dangerous, they can cause depression and hurt your heart. I will post links to the articles. But back to my rage, recently I found out my ex is now really involved with the woman he cheated on me with. I can honestly say that I am not in love with him and would never want him back. He has tried to get me back but he is toxic. We have been split up since 2000. Since the split we have been causal friends as we have kids and now grands in common. He came to holidays and birthday parties. Yes I know, along time. Even longer when he cheated, that was back in 1988. I bet you are asking yourself why I would possibly still be mad? Me too. Oh and it is not just anger, it is pure rage. It shocked me it came on so quick and took me by surprise. He has been involved with other women over the years and none of them bothered me at all. This one however, well I am sure you do not need details. I am not an emotion stuffer with anger, I am not afraid to express it. I am not a people pleaser . I was surprised . The real work is how do I release it so I am not effected by it ? How do you release emotions you were not aware you possessed? I think after looking into this subject I can use the rage in my workouts? I do not like allowing someone to make me angry as they have control so I will learn how to channel it into my workouts. I find this very interesting that many of these ted talks mainly tell you to channel the anger. I feel this is very beneficial as we all feel anger and learning about yourself is always beneficial. Do you have something you have been carrying around?
