Goals
- Closer relationship with God- abbreviated today because I have my granddaughters overnight last night and my little pony is not conducive to meditation. I did write out a prayer in my prayer journal
- Get Fit- lower body today, I found some additional sets I am adding using my squat rack, did the 3 sets of 8 squats with 35lb weights, calf raises, deadlifts, and the 4 lower body with monkey feet 3 sets of 8 reps.
- House organization- Worked on my office so I have a dedicated writing space
- Write- 10 minutes today
- Camper Reno- 15 minute video on sealing the skin
Digging for motivation
I found myself trying to be in a slump today. I had to dig down and find my motivation. I refuse to quit on myself this time. I had that part of my brain telling me “it’s ok to just lounge, it’s raining today so work out later”. I had to not even entertain this thought because I know how that path will go. Oh I will do it later, later comes, I will be better tomorrow. Granted we are going to have those days , maybe illness or an unexpected event. But for me it is too early in the game and I know myself , if I do not at least devote a few minutes to each goal , it will fall off my radar. So, I decided to focus on why I am doing this. I have read several articles that state it is very beneficial to visualize your goals. Think of what life looks like when you accomplish your goals. If it is fitness, what do you look like, how does it feel, how do you look? What ever your goal is picture and remember that baby steps over a year will lead to big changes at the end.
