Goals
- Closer Relationship with God- Today was II Corinthians chapter 9. This chapter continues some of the theme of 8. Paul continues to urge the Corinthians to follow through on their commitments. We all know we should follow through and I think many people do except where they are concerned. What commitments to yourself have you faltered in or completely not done? I know being committed to yourself seems counter intuitive to being Christian but it is not. I am not saying always put yourself first, but God has a plan for you and wants you to be your best, can you say you are your best?
- Get Fit/Strong- life happened today and I was literally out running errands until time for work. I thought if I got up and did this first, I would have plenty of time to come home and work out without having to worry about time, wrong. I will make this a priority. Typically, Wednesday is a rest day for me but I was going to use it as a lower body day. I did get cardio in on the steps at work today. I promise myself that this is not the beginning of quitting.
- House- I did not work on this today
- Write- I did write for 15 minutes today
- Camper reno- I did watch a video at work today
Potential
I was listening to a podcast today and he asked what level are you living your life at? 1 is a mess and barely getting by and 10 is you are living your best life and killing it every day. Our brain wants us to remain comfortable and we all know that your comfort zone will kill your dreams. Our brain likes it when we are living on autopilot. Trying to put a number on your potential will make you think wont it? I thought about it and have been thinking about it. What am I at? 5 maybe? middle of the road? Definitely not a 10. Do I know what my potential is? I do not think that I do. How many of us live basically the same life daily? For some of us we do not like anything that is no expected. I dread surprises at they are usually traumatic (catastrophic thinking again). Can you imagine what your life would be if you were operating at a 10. What if you were not afraid to fail? What would you attempt? What would you bring into your life? I think that we are all given gifts and talents. Many of us will never know what these are. How sad is it to know that you never brought forth any of your potential? I bought a sign when I was traveling and stopped in Nashville. There was a little mall in an old building and I found a sign that said ” If you did everything you are capable of doing you would amaze yourself”. We are all created from God and we have God in us. Think about what greatness that you have been hiding in yourself!
