Day 10- getting a vision!

Goals

  1. Closer relationship with God- Romans chapter 8 today and wow verse 28. It appears that this is an unconditional promise to believers. I have mentioned before that David Jerimiah has a series on Romans but he does one on just Romans 8:28

2. Get Fit- I will start being more specific about what this looks like in a year. Today is lower body. I did 3 sets of 8 with plates today of squats. I did 4 more lower body with weights with my monkey feet all with 3 sets of 8, and then did 3 sets of 8 of deadlifts. Today is the first day back with deadlifts and I used 25s.

3. House organization- continued in my office with organizing

4. Write – 15 minutes of writing today, need to get more specific her in the future about where I expect this to be in 1 year

5. Camper reno- still reading in RV wiring book daily for 15 minutes

I am working this weekend, do not typically work the weekend so this is a good to learn to keep on track over the weekend. Tomorrow I work also but will continue to work on goals and developing vision.

Vision!

I wanted to discuss vision a bit and the difference between vision and goals? I think that vision is so important that I wanted to keep digging into this. I think I have been totally missing this piece. I found this below and thought it did a good job explaining. I suggest checking youtube also as I searched the terms “developing a vision for your life” there are several. I will watch them and let you know what I think it good. I am also going to work on developing a vision statement for my life.

What is the difference between Vision and Goal?

• Definitions of Vision and Goal:

• Vision can be defined as the ability to think about the future with wisdom or imagination.

• A goal can be defined as an aim or desired result.

• Nature:

• A vision is dream-like, whereas a goal is not. It is more achievable.

• Time:

• A vision focuses on the far off future.

• A goal concentrates on creating a change in the present or nearby future.

• Indication:

• A vision can denote imagination or wisdom.

• A goal denotes an aim or target.

• Achievability:

• Visions take many years for a real transformation to occur which will allow the vision to be a reality.

• Goals are achievable.
