Today I chose 5 goals to work on daily
- Grow my relationship with God- what does this look like? Read the Bible everyday for 15 minutes. I pray daily but do not always read daily
- Get my house organized and dejunked- what does this look like on a daily basis? 15 minutes daily , today I am pulling some clothes out of my closet that still have tags and I haven’t worn and they have been in there a while. I have one bag of clothes out of my closet, yay!
- learn how to renovate my new to me vintage camper- I have been wanting to solo camp for years , finally decided to take the plunge and bought a camper. It is a 1980, not quite vintage but have you seen the price of the 60s? Who knew that it was a hot thing now. So I bought some books and subscribed to some YouTube channels. I am devoting 15 minutes a day to watch a video or read on the subject. What I have learned so far is that you should remodel from the outside in. As it it raining here I wont be tearing the skins off. But I have plans to fix a small leak on the roof around the vent.
- write daily- I have wanted to be an author since I was little. I have always been a big reader. I am committing to 10-15 minutes daily of writing or listening to a podcast on writing .
- Get fit- what does this look like? well I used to weight lift and slacked off over the past 2 years. So I am getting back to it. Even if it is just 15 minute work out, it is ok to work up to a full lifting session, remember baby steps. I need to lose weight too but I am eating better and continuing with my IF routine. Today I did lower body. Honestly, this is probably the hardest goal of all but I can do anything in small segments.
My content may not be what you are used to on a Blog. This is my first time and I am learning on the way. Any suggestions you have will be welcomed. Also feel free to post your goals. Even if no one else reads this or participates it is a way to hold myself accountable to accomplish more. I know I will not be perfect in all the goals every day but I will continue to make progress.
When I was taking a class in public speaking in the 80s we had to speak on a personal subject. A young woman got up and drew and elephant. This was the first time I heard the proverb: you can eat an elephant with a spoon, one bite at a time. While the thought of actually eating an elephant is gross, the meaning is clear. When faced with what looks overwhelming , insurmountable and just too much to tackle, think of one small step that you can take to get started. Write the plan out , go over it daily.
